Join us for a unique foodie walking tour of Victoria that combines a history lesson with modern food. We explore three historic areas of the city including an extensive tour of the Victoria Public Market, Chinatown, and Market Square. Sip, sample, and savour local cuisine.

We start the tour at the historic Hudson Bay Building, now the home of the bustling Victoria Public Market. Here we will get a foodie tour of the market that includes a coffee from a local roaster, a savoury hand pie from Victoria Pie Co. and a unique version of poutine, a traditional Canadian dish from Sutra. This is the only place outside of Vancouver that you can experience food designed by Vikram Vij, one of the most famous chefs in Canada. We then make our way to historic Chinatown where we visit the Chinese Public School and explore the vibrant culinary scene along colourful Fisgard Street.

After passing under the Gates of Harmonious Interest we stop at Wai Lai Yeun for a traditional baked Char Sui bun. A savory pork bun with a hint of sweetness baked fresh every day! We pick up a bag of Japanese Honey Butter Chips from a local grocer and make our way to Market Square. Here we will try some local craft beer from Whistle Buoy Brewery paired with the chips. Did you know that Victoria is considered the craft beer cradle of Canada and we have some of the oldest craft breweries in our country? After sipping some beers (or locally made sodas) we head to Fan Tan alley to finish the tour with two sweet stops including a French bakery and gourmet ice cream.
